The research project €LAN -
Energy prices and land use

Housing and mobility are crucial factors in land use, which are to a high degree connected with energy costs. At this time, a non negligible part of the households in Germany spends about half of their net income for these two expenditure items. This share is expected to increase in the coming future.

The research project €LAN – Energy prices and land use is concerned with questions about the impacts of rising energy prices on land use and mobility patterns, and how the intrinsic related impacts can be countered.
